What if you traded the items with someone else -
Will they still be able to track that it was the ones bought at the low price? Say you bought all those shards and then gave them to someone for "free". Or perhaps you traded them legitly for money.

Announced: GW Roll Back To 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time, 21:00 GMT
just found this on site dont bother loging in u wont keep the stuff
Network News
Due to a server error, Guild Wars experienced an unintentional reset of the traders. For nearly an hour, traders were selling items at unrealistically low prices. Due to the harmful impact that such an event would cause to the game economy, we are rolling back the entire state of the game to shortly before the problem began, that is, to 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time, 21:00 GMT.

Lets say there was a rollback, can you imgane just getting your first 15^50 req 8 Crystalline from hoh, and then logging back in to see everyone was rolledback? I highly doubt that, it is possible, just not very likely. Why should A-net punish those nice folks getting their first 15^50 awesome drops, just cuz I LOOTED the trader.
This isn't a flame by any means, just a different perspective on those who think A-net might rollback everyone.

Cool. I don't mind. I'll just have to go cap Crippling Anguish again, I guess. No biggie.
Glad ANet decided on a direction to fix this. Hopefully the devs and anyone else working on the programming to fix this can relax. I feel bad for them having to work like crazy to fix this.

i am curious though what Anet's response will be

They don't make backups all the time. They have a "transaction-log" in which there are record based entries for things that change in the game. Most likely purchases from the traders are logged in such a way.
They could choose to just roll back those and leave everything else intact.

transaction log is all well and good, but you have thousands of people making transactions as fast as they can click "request quote" then "buy" for about 45 minutes straight, the MASSIVE amount of log that would have to be reversed by that way ....
